My Favorite Photograph

"Boulevard du Temple (1838)" by Louis Daguerre

This photograph was the first in history to ever feature a human being (he is near the bottom left corner and he is shining his shoes). This man was the only thing to stay still long enough for the 10-minute exposure to capture on film.
